About the role
Fixed-term with possibility for permanent dependent on roll growth.
Te Takarangi is a vibrant, rural public primary school nestled on the stunning Purerua Peninsula, just a stone's throw (20 minutes) from Kerikeri in the beautiful Bay of Islands. We sit proudly in the heart of the whēnua of Ngāti Rēhia, and our connection to them is a key part of who we are.
We are looking for an energetic, competent, heart-led teacher to lead our Year 3 and 4 class starting in 2027. The ideal teacher will be competent and comfortable with te ao Māori, te reo Māori and tikanga Māori. Experience with structured literacy and mathematics is desirable as is a willingness to embrace the culture of the school and to build positive relationships with students, staff and whānau.
