Builds warm, respectful relationships with learners, whānau and colleagues.

Delivers engaging, evidence-informed teaching in literacy and mathematics, aligned with the refreshed New Zealand Curriculum.

Uses assessment thoughtfully to respond to learners’ strengths, needs and next steps.

Works collaboratively with colleagues to plan, reflect on practice and improve outcomes for learners.

Communicates effectively with whānau and values the partnership between home and school.

Is committed to culturally responsive practice, honouring Te Tiriti o Waitangi and incorporating te reo Māori and tikanga Māori into everyday classroom life.
