About the role

We are seeking an energetic, empathetic Learning Support Coordinator (LSC) to sit at the heart of our learning support network, connecting tamariki, kaiako, whaanau, leadership, and external agencies.

Key focus areas:

Neurodiverse Learner Advocacy: Championing neurodiverse tamariki through adaptive pathways and strength-based supports.

Sensory Room & Regulation: Overseeing and designing our sensory room to ensure a safe, calm environment.

In-Class Collaboration: Partnering with kaiako to co-teach, model inclusive practices, and build school-wide capability.

Targeted Math Acceleration: Co-leading targeted math support (AIM for Years 0–2 or the 12-week MAP for Years 3–6) to accelerate learning through small-group instruction.

Whaanau & Agency Partnerships: Building culturally responsive connections with whaanau, RTLBs, and Ministry specialists.

Wider school life and extra passions

We value educators who enrich our kura through passions like sports, kapa haka, the arts, outdoor education, or digital learning.

Management unit(s) may be negotiable for candidates with relevant experience.

We are looking for:

a fully registered NZ teacher with proven experience supporting diverse learning needs

strong knowledge of inclusive, restorative, and culturally responsive practices

excellent relational skills, a sense of humour, and a commitment to bicultural practice.
