About the role
Bring your creativity, curiosity and passion for teaching to a school where education engages the head, heart and hands.
Set on a beautiful 12-acre bush-clad hillside, Raphael House offers a rich, holistic curriculum that brings academic learning together with music, movement, handwork, art and drama. Strong relationships and an understanding of each child’s development are at the heart of our approach.
We have 2 lower school class teacher opportunities for 2027, with class placements determined by the strengths and experience of successful applicants. Our lower school spans Classes 1–7, equivalent to Years 2–8.
We seek enthusiastic, reflective teachers who bring an open mind, enjoy collaboration and build warm, purposeful relationships with students and whānau. Artistic or movement strengths, a commitment to tikanga Māori, and a willingness to deepen your understanding and practice of Steiner education are central to these roles.
Whether you bring Steiner experience or a strong interest in developing your practice within this approach, this is an opportunity to teach imaginatively, nurture children’s individual capacities and help spark a lifelong passion for learning.
