Dalefield School is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and collaborative Principal to lead our school into its next chapter.

Nestled at the foothills of the Tararua Ranges, just 6.5 km from Carterton, Dalefield is a vibrant semi-rural full primary school with a proud history dating back to 1885.

With approximately 76 students, 4 teaching staff and 4 full-time support staff, we offer a welcoming, close-knit learning environment where relationships matter and every child is supported to thrive.

Our rural identity and strong community connections are central to school life. We are looking for a Principal who will provide strong educational leadership, inspire and support staff, strengthen partnerships with whānau and the wider community, and lead high-quality teaching and learning in line with the curriculum.

The successful candidate will value our school's identity while bringing vision, sound management and a commitment to ensuring every learner can flourish.

The positions commences Term 1 2027.
