About the role

Cambridge High School (CHS) is a co-educational school, established in 1883, with a roll of approximately 1,800 students. Cambridge is in the heart of the Waikato region and is a focus for elite sport with Cycling, Triathlon, Kayaking and Rowing establishing their New Zealand bases here. Cambridge High School serves the interests of the community well, meeting the varied academic, trades, cultural and sporting needs of our students. Places at CHS are highly sought after with families choosing to move into town to gain access to the school.

An opportunity exists, commencing 28 January 2027, for an enthusiastic and innovative Technology teacher with expertise in senior Engineering (both AS and US). The ability to deliver one or both of junior Mechatronics and Digital Technology may be advantageous.

The Technology faculty at Cambridge High School is forward-thinking, supportive, and collegial. We operate from a well-resourced, modern facility that fosters creativity and collaboration.

Student interest in studying subjects within this faculty is very strong. As a result, there is growth within the faculty, and we are particularly interested in applications from candidates with additional areas of expertise. Please state this on application.

The base salary for trained and registered teachers will range from $62,862 to $105,686, depending on the applicant’s qualifications and experience.
