We are seeking a dynamic and engaging Head of Department to lead our Social Sciences team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering critical thinking, encouraging debate and helping students understand the complex world around them.

Innovative leader committed to student well-being and academic success.

The ability to teach up to NCEA Level 3.

A thorough understanding and ability to help lead the implementation of the refreshed Phase 4 New Zealand Curriculum.

Willingness to support and uphold the school’s special character.

Current New Zealand Teaching Council practising certificate.

Valid legal right to work in New Zealand.

Please state your specific curriculum strengths, your ability to teach up to NCEA Level 3, and any supporting teaching subjects in your application.

This role attracts 3 Management Units (MUs) plus 1 Middle Management Allowance (MMA).
