Physiotherapist

Rosehill School is seeking a physiotherapist who is passionate about working with children and young adults with special needs. This role would suit an experienced physiotherapist or a new graduate with a strong interest in paediatrics.

Rosehill School supports students aged 5–21 years across our base school, 14 satellite units within mainstream schools, and a transition unit for students aged 18–21.

Our students have a diverse range of needs, including Cerebral Palsy and Autism. We are a multicultural school that values and celebrates diversity.

You will join a large, supportive therapy team including Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Speech Language Therapists and Psychologists.

The role involves:

Working collaboratively with class teams, whānau and other therapy disciplines.

Supporting students to access the curriculum, participate in school life and develop physical independence.

Upskilling teaching and support staff in best practice.

Managing a varied caseload across multiple school sites.

Contributing to school-wide improvement initiatives.

Engaging in professional development opportunities.

We are looking for someone who:

Has a strong interest in neurodevelopmental paediatrics and working with children with special needs.

Has excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills.

Has a positive, flexible and solutions-focused approach.

Can effectively manage their time and work across multiple sites.

Has an interest or experience in postural management, wheelchairs and seating.

Is committed to evidence-based, neuro-affirming practice.

Travelling between sites is essential, with mileage reimbursement provided for use of a personal vehicle.

Remuneration is based on the Ministry of Education Kaiārahi i te Reo and Therapists’ Collective Agreement.
