Pārāwai School is a well-resourced full primary school in Thames, gateway to the Coromandel. With approximately 240 ākonga and ten modern classrooms, we offer the opportunity to know our learners well and work alongside an experienced, collegial team. As an Apple school, we provide every teacher with a MacBook and iPad.

We are seeking a warm, capable and enthusiastic teacher to join our Year 1–2 team. You will bring:

Strong foundations in early literacy and numeracy, including knowledge of structured literacy and effective mathematics teaching.

Sound knowledge of the New Zealand Curriculum and the ability to use assessment to plan clear next steps.

A calm, inclusive classroom approach that supports different learning needs and builds confidence.

Positive relationships with tamariki and whānau, valuing the identities, languages and cultures they bring.

A commitment to developing te reo and tikanga Māori in everyday practice.

A collaborative spirit, a sense of humour and a willingness to keep learning.
