We are seeking a passionate, proactive and committed English teacher to join our English Department. The successful applicant will be an engaging classroom practitioner who brings well-planned lessons to life.

We are looking for a teacher who:

Builds strong relationships and creates an inclusive, culturally responsive classroom where every student feels valued and supported.

Maintains high expectations for student achievement, engagement and behaviour, while providing the guidance and support students need to succeed.

Plans and delivers engaging lessons that promote critical thinking, creativity, literacy development and a genuine love of English.

Collaborates effectively with colleagues, shares ideas and resources, and contributes positively to departmental planning and professional discussions.

Reflects on and develops their practice, using student learning evidence and feedback to strengthen teaching and improve outcomes.

Embraces innovation and digital learning tools, including appropriate use of technology and AI to enhance teaching and learning.

Demonstrates sound knowledge of the New Zealand Curriculum and a commitment to effective teaching and learning across Years 9–13.
