Registered ECE Teacher – Flexible, Part-Time, Home-Based
- Part time

- Suitable for beginning teachers
About the role
$35-$40 per hour | Casual initially, progressing to part-time
Looking for a change from traditional centre-based teaching? Want more flexibility while making a meaningful difference in children's lives?
Dasie at Home is a new home-based early childhood education service establishing itself in the Wellington region. We're seeking an enthusiastic, registered ECE teacher to help launch our service and support a growing network of home-based educators.
What we offer
Flexible hours, with opportunities to work around existing employment and family commitments.
Work from home for administrative and planning tasks.
Casual hours initially, progressing to regular part-time work as the service grows, potentially 20–30 hours per week.
Competitive remuneration of $35–$40 per hour, depending on experience.
Reimbursement for approved work-related travel at IRD kilometre rates.
An opportunity to help shape a new service from the ground up.
Your role will include:
Supporting our Ministry of Education licensing process.
Providing professional guidance, coaching and mentoring to home-based educators.
Conducting educator home visits and supporting children's learning and development.
Overseeing health, safety, curriculum and regulatory compliance.
Undertaking Person Responsible responsibilities as required.
Building positive relationships with educators and families.
About you
You'll hold a recognised ECE teaching qualification, New Zealand teacher registration and a current practising certificate. You'll be organised, approachable, self-motivated and comfortable working independently.
Home-based ECE experience is an advantage but not essential.
Already working in an ECE centre? Our initial flexible arrangements may allow you to continue your existing employment, subject to service requirements.
We welcome enquiries from teachers seeking a flexible opportunity with long-term growth potential.
