Itinerant Music Teachers

An exciting opportunity has opened up for a fixed term part-time (up to 0.3 FTE) Itinerant Music Teacher to join our growing music programme from Term 1, 2027. We are especially looking for teachers in the following instruments, but welcome applications for any instruments: Guitar, vocals, Flute, Brass, Double Bass. These positions are fixed term, part-time for the duration of the 2027 school year with exact hours to be negotiated.

Located on the beautiful Hibiscus Coast of Auckland, KingsWay is a high achieving, growing, state integrated Christian school catering for Year 1-13 students, with a current roll of over 2000 students. Our staff are supportive and collaborative, and our work is inspired by love/aroha, heartened by faith/whakapono in Jesus Christ, and motivated by gospel hope/tūmanako.

The successful applicant will:

Be able to teach Year 3 through to Year 13 students

Have a warm and encouraging manner with students

Be a professional and collaborative team member

An important condition of employment is that applicants must have a willingness and ability to take part in religious instruction appropriate to the Special Christian Character of KingsWay School. You will enjoy contributing and promoting a biblically informed, Christ-centred worldview, including how this translates to supporting and growing our students’ faith, and will protect, enhance, and uphold our Christian character.
