Social Science Teacher

Whakātane High School is a co-educational school with approximately 1,250 students in the beautiful Eastern Bay of Plenty. The school is proud of its history and success and is well respected within the community.

Applications are invited for the full-time, fixed term position of social science teacher – please state subject strengths. The position commences 28 January 2027 and ends 27 January 2028.

This is an opportunity to join a highly collaborative and caring team. The successful applicant will need to be highly relational, culturally responsive and have experience in developing improved outcomes for Māori students. The teacher will be expected to take part in the co-curricular life of the school.
