ORS Specialist Teacher

Ōtūmoetai Intermediate School is seeking a passionate and skilled ORS Specialist Teacher to join our team for the 2027 school year.

This is an exciting opportunity to work across a diverse group of learners with a range of complex learning and support needs. Working collaboratively with classroom teachers, teacher aides, whānau and our Learning Support Coordinator, you will support students to access meaningful learning opportunities, make progress towards their individual goals, and experience success at school.

The successful applicant will have:

Experience working with students with diverse and complex learning needs.

Strong knowledge of inclusive teaching practices and individualised learning programmes.

The ability to develop and implement targeted learning goals and effective teaching strategies.

Excellent collaboration, communication and relationship-building skills.

A commitment to ensuring all learners feel valued, included and supported to reach their potential.

The role will primarily involve specialist teaching and support for students funded through the Ongoing Resourcing Scheme (ORS) across the school. Classroom release teaching may also be required to fulfil the full-time teaching allocation.

This is a fixed-term, full-time position (1.0 FTTE) for the 2027 school year.
