Year 3-4 Teacher

Note: The current teacher is taking parental leave. However, this appointment is permanent, with the teaching level and position to be reviewed by negotiation prior to the parental leave teacher's return.

For a 2027 start, we seek to appoint a nurturing, engaging and dynamic teacher who is able to provide quality learning programmes informed by the refreshed New Zealand Curriculum.

The successful applicant will have strong communication skills and be able to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, parents/whānau and the wider community.

The successful applicant will have the motivation, skills and ability to work both collaboratively and independently within a strong team of enthusiastic and professional educators. Your ability to contribute positively towards our highly-regarded virtues-based culture will be an asset.

We are seeking a practitioner with:

strong pedagogical knowledge and practice of learning programmes including Structured Literacy, Structured Maths and Oral Language development would be a significant advantage

a professional who is culturally responsive

exceptional classroom management skills

empathy towards, and experience of teaching learners with a diverse range of learning and behavioural needs
