Year 0-1 Team Leader

Are you looking for an exciting middle leadership role in Queenstown at a thriving kura?

Due to our growing roll, we are seeking an inspiring Year 0-1 team leader to join our middle leadership team at the start of Term 1, 2027. We are looking for a passionate educator who will lead our Year 0-1 teaching team, inspire our youngest ākonga, and help drive curriculum excellence.

At our kura, our vision, To Gather, Learn, and Grow, and core values of Whanaungatanga (belonging), Kotahitanga (unity), and Manaakitanga (nurturing) guide everything we do for our ākonga, staff, and wider community.

We are seeking a leader who embodies our vision and values. You will be:

Dedicated and whānau-centred: Passionate about empowering all ākonga to thrive and reach their full potential, fostering learner well-being, and building warm relationships with whānau.

A collaborative leader: Solution-focused, highly organised, and an effective communicator. You will lead purposeful team meetings, mentor staff through Professional Growth Cycles (PGCs), and work closely with the Senior Leadership Team.

Community and culturally responsive: An approachable leader who builds strong relationships across our diverse community. You will demonstrate culturally responsive and inclusive practices that honour our multicultural demographic and acknowledge the special place of Māori as mana whenua.

Innovative and progressive: Highly skilled in the NZ Curriculum, current best practices in early literacy and mathematics, and using data to inform quality teaching and learning decisions.
