The role

Encompass Education Hub, Auckland is seeking an innovative English and Senior Literacy Specialist with sound knowledge and experience teaching and leading English from Year 9–13 to NCEA Level 3 to join our team at the start of 2027.

The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of NZQA English assessments, including the Literacy Common Assessment Activity, UE literacy requirements and the flexibility to integrate this learning meaningfully into a project-based approach. They will also have proven ability to mentor, coach and grow beginning teachers.

We are looking for:

Current New Zealand teacher registration and a practising certificate.

Applicants with a legal right to work in New Zealand.

Experience with, or a strong commitment to, supporting autistic and neurodivergent learners.

Subject leadership experience, including curriculum and assessment development.

A collaborative, reflective approach and a passion for making learning meaningful and accessible.
