Year 2 and 3 Kaiako

We're Looking for someone special to join our Richmond whānau!

Are you a passionate, caring kaiako who believes relationships are at the heart of great teaching? Someone who sees the potential in every tamaiti and goes the extra mile to help them thrive?

Then you might just be the person we're looking for!

Richmond Kura is a small, vibrant kura with a huge heart, nestled in the heart of Maraenui, Napier. We are incredibly proud of our tamariki, our whānau and the beautiful culture we have created together.

At Richmond, relationships come first. Always.

We believe tamariki learn best when they feel safe, seen, heard, valued and loved. Wairua and hauora underpin everything we do, and our trauma-informed approach prioritises connection, kindness and compassion.

Our values of whanaungatanga, manaakitanga and kaitiakitanga are woven into everyday kura life.

We're looking for someone who:

genuinely loves tamariki and believes every tamaiti can succeed

builds strong, positive relationships with tamariki, whānau and colleagues

brings warmth, enthusiasm, flexibility and a great sense of humour

has sound literacy and numeracy teaching practices

embraces Te Ao Māori and honours Te Tiriti o Waitangi

is a team player, willing to learn, grow and go the extra mile.

What makes Richmond special?

We're a close-knit, supportive team who work hard, laugh often and genuinely care for one another. Our tamariki are full of personality, humour and potential, and deserve an amazing kaiako who believes in them.

We don't expect you to know everything. We do expect you to care deeply, be willing to learn and bring your whole heart to our kura.

Come and be part of something special!

Kia Tū, Kia Maia – Stand Tall, Stand Proud.
