Teacher of Technology – DVC and/or Product Design

Ormiston Senior College is a Year 11–13 coeducational public school in East Auckland. We are a future-focused school with a strong commitment to student agency, personalised learning and innovative, student-centred teaching.

We are seeking an enthusiastic Technology teacher to join our collaborative and creative team. There is flexibility within the position to teach Design and Visual Communication (DVC), Product Design, or a combination of both, depending on the strengths and experience of the successful applicant.

Product Design at Ormiston Senior College follows the design process, giving students opportunities to explore, develop and refine ideas through modelling and making. Experience with CAD, CAM and 3D printing would be beneficial.

In DVC, students develop and communicate their design ideas through physical drawing and digital design tools. Experience with a range of drawing techniques and digital design software would be beneficial.
