Manukorihi Intermediate School is seeking a passionate, dynamic reo Māori kaiako to lead learning in our bilingual class, Te Mātā Taiohi, to start in 2027. This is a special opportunity to inspire and guide the next generation of rangatahi in a space where te reo Māori, tikanga, and Te Ātiawatanga are lived and celebrated every day.

Our Board of Trustees values and resources our bilingual kopa well so there will be a kaiawhina working alongside the kaiako to support them and the taiohi.

This role requires:

Sound knowledge of Te Marautanga o Aotearoa.

Experience in bilingual delivery (Level 2).

Commitment to Tau Mai Te Reo and Ka Hikitia.

This position qualifies for the Teacher Bonding Scheme (TBS). The eligible teacher recruited into this vacancy will receive annual payments accumulating to a maximum of $40,000 (before tax) after 5 years. See Teacher Bonding Scheme for more information.
