Leader of Learning: Mathematics

Flaxmere College is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, committed, and forward-thinking leader of learning – Mathematics to lead our Mathematics learning area in 2027.

We are looking for an educational leader who can:

lead and support teachers to deliver engaging, culturally responsive mathematics learning

raise student achievement and strengthen numeracy outcomes

develop collaborative teaching practices and curriculum innovation

build positive relationships with students, whānau, and the wider community

champion inclusive learning environments where every student can succeed

show experience in teaching all levels of NCEA Mathematics.

The successful applicant will:

demonstrate strong teaching and learning leadership

be committed to equity, excellence, and culturally sustaining practice

inspire staff and students to achieve their potential

contribute positively to the vision and values of Flaxmere College

is excited to contribute to the rich extra-curricular life of our school.
