Head of Department - Science (2MU + 1MMA)

We are an integrated Catholic girls’ college for Years 9 to 13 in the beautiful Hawke’s Bay.

We are seeking a passionate, innovative and effective Science and Biology teacher and leader of curriculum in a progressive school environment.

The successful applicant will be familiar with New Zealand curriculum developments, have a sound knowledge of current New Zealand assessment practice, and preferably have biology as a special subject. Biology is preferred, but other specialist areas may also be accepted.

The successful applicant must also be future-focused and able to work in a collaborative team environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated leader to further shape and develop this already well-established kura.

Staff are expected to recognise and respect the school's Catholic special character and be actively involved in the total life of the school, in a manner which respects the religious instruction given and religious observances practised within the school.

A commitment to the school’s special character and extra-curricular programme is essential.

This is a full-time permanent position starting at the beginning of Term 1, 2027.
