Teacher of Food Technology and Hospitality

Queen Charlotte College is a co-ed secondary school (Yr7 - 13) located in the beautiful town of Picton, gateway to the South Island. Picton is nestled in the stunning Marlborough Sounds, a short flight from Wellington and easy driving to Christchurch and Nelson.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Food Technology and Hospitality teacher to join our team in a permanent full time position.

We are looking for a suitably qualified teacher with relevant hospitality industry qualifications and practical industry experience, including the expertise required to support the delivery and assessment of Level 2 and Level 3 Hospitality standards and meet Consent to Assess requirements.

Our specialist hospitality classroom is brand new, having opened in January 2025, and provides an excellent environment for practical, hands-on learning. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who can bring industry knowledge into the classroom, inspire students and help them develop the practical skills and confidence needed for future pathways in the food and hospitality industry.

The successful applicant will be passionate about engaging students, building positive relationships and delivering high-quality learning experiences.

This is a permanent full time position commencing 27 January 2027, or earlier by mutual agreement.
