Are you a visionary educational leader passionate about empowering rangatahi to reach their full potential? Murupara Area School is seeking an exceptional, culturally responsive Deputy Principal – Years 9–13 to lead our senior school into its next phase of excellence.
In this pivotal senior leadership role, you will have a demonstrated track record of successfully teaching NCEA subjects to Level 3, (preferably Mathematics or Science) backed by recent successful teaching experience within a New Zealand educational context. You will be expected to work collaboratively alongside the principal and leadership team to drive academic achievement, champion holistic wellbeing, and strengthen community pathways for our senior students. Key Strategic and Operational responsibilities will include Academic and Curriculum leadership; NZQA and NCEA management (Principal’s Nominee): Academic Tracking and Intervention; Vocational Pathways and Transitions; Student Wellbeing and Tier 3 Behaviour Leadership and Daily Operations and Timetabling.
