Professional Leader and Business Development Manager

About the role

This is a leadership position with two key areas of responsibility: professional and operational leadership – supporting the Centre Manager with the daily coordination of the centre, staff, families, documentation, health and safety, and follow-up of operational matters; and business development and community engagement – supporting enrolment growth, marketing, community relationships, family engagement, centre events, and the development of the centre's reputation. The successful candidate will be expected to coordinate, follow up, monitor and report on progress, with support from the Centre Manager and Centre Director.

Key responsibilities

Support the Centre Manager with daily coordination of the centre, staff, families, documentation, health and safety, and follow-up of operational matters.

Support enrolment growth, marketing, community relationships, family engagement, centre events, and the development of the centre's reputation.

Coordinate, follow up, monitor and report on progress.

Work closely with the Centre Manager and Centre Director on professional leadership, team development, parent engagement, enrolments, marketing, and business growth.

Communicate with prospective families and conduct centre tours.

About you

Qualified and experienced in Early Childhood Education

A strong communicator and relationship builder

Confident working with children, whānau, teachers, and management

Organised and able to manage multiple responsibilities

Proactive and able to identify issues and work on them

Professional, approachable, and solution-focused

Confident supporting and leading staff

Experienced in developing a new or growing ECE team

Experienced in marketing, business development, enrolment growth, or community engagement
