Deputy Principal

Start Date: 12 February 2027 to 26 April 2027

We are seeking an experienced and capable educational leader to join our Senior Leadership Team as Deputy Principal for Term 1, 2027, providing maternity leave cover.

The successful applicant will have proven leadership experience, ideally at middle or senior leadership level, and the confidence and capability to step into a Deputy Principal role and contribute from the outset.

We are looking for someone who:

Has proven experience in educational leadership and working collaboratively within a senior leadership team.

Has successfully led a curriculum department, with demonstrated evidence of improved student achievement and outcomes.

Demonstrates excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Can confidently support the day-to-day leadership and operation of the Senior School.

Has experience in curriculum, teaching and learning, and supporting improved student achievement.

Builds strong, respectful relationships with students, staff, whānau and our wider community.

Demonstrates sound judgement, initiative, professionalism and strong communication skills.

Is a visible and active leader who contributes positively to school culture.

Is willing and able to take an active leadership role in extracurricular activities, school events and the wider life of the school.

Is committed to high expectations, equity and positive outcomes for all our young people.

This position would suit an experienced middle or senior leader who is ready to step into Deputy Principal leadership, or an experienced Deputy Principal seeking a fixed-term opportunity to contribute to our school community.
