Fixed-term ECE Teacher

We are looking for a committed certificated teacher to join our pre-school team on a fixed-term basis while one of our team takes a teaching secondment in our junior school.

We have a strong community with great support from our parents and the wider school. Our unique timetable and extra-curricular programme make this a rewarding place to work, and we are looking for someone who is ready to embrace this.

About the role

• Fixed-term: 25 January to 8 October 2027.
• Full-time 40 hours per week.
• Working as part of an experienced team of 6, with up to 40 children per day.
• Key teacher for our youngest pre-school learners.

About you

• A current Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand practising certificate (full or provisional). 
• A commitment to Te Whāriki, bicultural practice.
• Good communication, including with ESOL families and children.
• Comfortable working alongside external support providers.
• Reliable and motivated, able to follow routines.
• Committed to the role for the full fixed term.
• A willingness to embrace the unique position we hold in The Cathedral Grammar School.
• Full drivers licence and clean driving record to drive our school van.
• Current First Aid Certificate meeting ECE requirements.
