Omaka Early Learning Centre Marlborough

Kind-hearted Kaiako

  • Full-time
  • Permanent
  • Suitable for beginning teachers

About the role

Do you want time to teach? Are you a caring person looking for an environment that matches your nature?

We are proudly RIE and Reggio Emilia based, meaning we embrace respectful practice and child-led exploration. Combined with great ratios this allows for lots of positive engagement with tamariki.

Our spaces are gorgeous, well-resourced and full of aroha. Each age group learns with their peers in spaces that are set each morning with fresh learning provocations. Outdoor spaces are large, easy to supervise and with climbing frames to develop upper bodies. Our cook provides great kai to support our very busy tamariki.

We love loose parts play and books. We love all the seasons and our tamariki love the flowers, bugs and fairies in our nature garden. If it rains, we have raincoats.

Kaiako focus on thier preferred age group with a team that shares the same passion. We do learn stories that are short, easy to write but impactful and meaningful to parents. We supply food and nappies meaning no juggling lunchboxes or parents' nappy supplies.

The centre is purpose built and new. A commercial cleaner comes every night meaning your time at the end of the day is spent setting up tomorrow for success.

Omaka Early Learning is privately owned by a couple who work in the centre daily, we believe this makes a difference.

If thinking about moving, Blenheim is a large, attractive, family-friendly town with fantastic weather, lots of vineyards and the awesome Marlborough Sounds on our doorstep.

We have a full-time role available, if you are interested and you believe in the same care and teaching philosophies as we do, Omaka Early Learning might be for you.
