Riverhills Early Learning Centre is a warm and welcoming early childhood centre, licensed for 44 children. We provide a caring, family-focused environment where children feel safe, valued, and supported to learn, explore, and grow.

Our dedicated teaching team works together to create meaningful learning experiences and build strong, respectful relationships with tamariki and whānau.

The ideal candidate

We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and passionate Registered Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will:

• Have a genuine love for working with young children and supporting their development.
• Provide warm, responsive, and nurturing care.
• Have a good understanding of curriculum planning, learning assessment, and documentation.
• Use Te Whāriki to plan meaningful learning experiences and support children's individual learning journeys.
• Understand and encourage both child-led learning and intentional teaching.
• Observe, record, and celebrate children's learning and progress.
• Understand the principles, strands, goals, and learning dispositions of Te Whāriki.
• Build positive and respectful relationships with children, whānau, and teaching colleagues.
• Communicate effectively and work well as part of a team.
• Be open to ongoing learning, professional growth, and contributing to a positive centre environment.

Applicants must:

• Hold a recognised New Zealand ECE teaching qualification.
• Have current Teaching Council registration and a practising certificate.
• Be eligible to work in New Zealand.
