Taokotaianga Apii Kuki Airani Hastings Inc is a Cook Islands Centre based in Hastings of Hawkes Bay. We are a mainstream centre with our focus not only on the Cook Islands language and culture but those of all our tamariki, anau and staff.

We are a charitable trust and we have been operating for 11 years.

Our centre has a license to teach and care for up to 58 tamariki from ages 0– 5 years old.

We have a very close team of teachers/support teachers where our centre manager also works with our tamariki each day.

We have an exciting opportunity where we are looking for 2 teachers to cover maternity leave. We are looking for 1 fully registered teacher and 1 unqualified/ teacher-in-training to join our team.

We are looking for

• A teacher who works well within a small team with great communication skills, shows determination and provides best quality of care and learning for our tamariki
• A teacher who has knowledge on Te Whāriki and uses this in their daily teaching
• A teacher who believes in building strong relationships with our tamariki, anau and teaching team
• A teacher who can be flexible as there may be times where you are asked to work in a different room with a different age group
• A teacher who holds their full registration in teaching, a teacher in training and holds their current first aid certificate
• Has NZ residency.
