We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, collaborative teacher who has the kind of passion and expertise to make a difference in the lives of our learners within the position of learning support coordinator at our school (Kaiapoi Borough School) 4 days per week (0.8) and nearby St Patrick's School, Kaiapoi, 1 day per week. (0.2)
You will need to be passionate about inclusive practices and have demonstrated the ability to support the learning and progress of all learners as they transition in, through, and out of our school.
You will be fully released, working alongside teachers to provide effective, targeted support for students with a range of learning support needs. Building and maintaining effective, positive relationships with students, whānau, teachers and other support providers to raise student achievement, is a key responsibility of this position.
The successful applicant will work with the school leadership team to ensure the needs of all students are met and they receive the appropriate support to enhance their learning and progress. You will also work alongside other LSC's across the Kāhui Ako and connect with the learning support facilitators and wider agencies, to access all services and resources to support learners.
