Teacher of Y7–8

Chanel College is seeking a motivated, well organised, collaborative and enthusiastic educator to join our staff.  We require a teacher who can teach Y7–8 students and who may have the ability to teach in other curriculum areas within the college. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required, along with IT/digital literacy skills that support quality learning and teaching. 

The college is a special character co-educational Catholic secondary school, located in Masterton, in the heart of the Wairarapa against the backdrop of the Tararua Ranges.  We are an Integrated State School which includes students from Years 7-13.  We have a fantastic school with a growing roll of awesome students, well maintained buildings and vast grounds.              

The successful candidate will be a caring professional, capable of teaching across all curriculum levels, committed to academic excellence and enhancing student learning outcomes and wellbeing. A sense of humour and flexibility along with a readiness to be a team player in a supportive team would be an advantage.

The successful applicant will be expected to uphold and be supportive of the ethos and Catholic special character of the school, and contribute to the school’s extra-curricular programme.
