Northland Kindergarten Association (NKA) is seeking an inspiring and innovative teacher to join the team at Parihaka Kindergarten, Whangarei. This position will commence 4 April, 2022.
The Parihaka teaching team view all children as taonga who are competent and capable learners, bringing with them a unique identity and wealth of knowledge. Parihaka seek a joyful and dedicated teacher who is willing to be an active participant in localised curriculum connected to their maunga. Parihaka Kindergarten has a team of 4 teachers and part time administrator. The kindergarten operates five 6-hour sessions Monday to Friday, catering for 40 between two and six years of age. Parihaka Kindergarten operates an All Year Model, 48 weeks per year.
Parihaka Kindergarten is part of a network of 25 kindergartens within the NKA. The kindergarten is supported by a professional practice and management team. NKA adheres to the employment conditions as offered in the Kindergarten Teacher, Head Teachers and Senior Teachers Collective Agreement 2019-2022.
Applicants must hold a recognised New Zealand ECE qualification (minimum Dip Teaching ECE), current practicing certificate, first aid certificate and provide evidence of Full COVID vaccination status. 2021 ECE Graduate students are also welcome to apply, NKA provides excellent support for registration and mentoring.
