This LSC position is to serve the Waitaki Ara Kāhui Ako which is made up of 5 Kindergartens, two primary schools, the intermediate, and two secondary schools. These schools have diverse populations comprising of a range of ethnicities and needs.
The purpose of the LSC is to support our children with diverse learning needs, to have access to the support and services they need.
The successful applicant will work closely with our other Kāhui Ako LSC, Lead Principal and a wide variety of stakeholders including staff, students and whānau, and external agencies.
The LSC will need to be passionate about inclusive practices and be able to demonstrate the ability to support the learning and progress of all learners as they transition in, through, and out of our schools.
The successful applicant will need to meet all the criteria of the LSC role description but ideally, have expertise in some of the following areas: Special Education, ASD, Second language learners, dyslexia & dysgraphia, transition to school and innovative practices.
