We are seeking a deeply passionate and highly effective class teacher for term 2, 2022 who wants to work in an exciting dual medium kura. We need someone with proven success and ability to create a learning environment that meets the aspirations and needs of our local whānau, iwi and hāpu.
We are looking for a teacher who is compassionate and willing to be a champion to all students at our kura. Applicants should have strong interpersonal and organisational skills, highly effective proven classroom practice where breadth and depth of curriculum is embedded, proven highly effective behaviour management skills, a deep understanding of Te Ao Māori, a willingness to learn and teach Te Reo Māori and demonstrated knowledge of inclusive practice. Applicants should also be willing to be an active part of the team and someone who is excited about creating positive outcomes for all.
The ideal candidate would have strengths in
providing an integrated approach to learning where curriculum delivery is balanced,
cultural practices and regular use of Te Reo Māori in and out of the classroom
is a great team member, who is positive, resilient and is willing to grow self as well as others
quality practice of assessment for learning for improved outcomes for tamariki,
positive whānau engagement and knowledge of PB4L.
working in a dual medium context or working with Māori Medium kura.
