We are after an economics teacher or HOD for a fixed-term parental cover commencing Monday 2 May 2022.

About the teacher role

• Provide teaching strategies consistent with the NZ Curriculum Framework and appropriate to the learning needs of Y10 to Scholarship students.
• Regularly assess and report on student achievements.
• Perform administration and pastoral care duties as required.

About the HOD role

• Ensure the Department Schemes are current, consistent with the New Zealand Curriculum Framework, and effectively implemented.
• Manage assessment and reporting in the department or required subject area.
• Provide professional leadership and effectively delegate responsibilities within the department.
• Manage the department/subject budget and allocate resources accordingly.
• Monitor, motivate and enhance staff performance and professional development.

Skills & experience

• A comprehensive understanding of the economics pedagogy and the New Zealand Curriculum.
• The ability to work collaboratively within a diverse and high functioning team.
• A current practicing certificate with the NZ Education Council.
• Currently living in New Zealand.
• A commitment to our special character and co-curricular programmes.
