We are looking for a full-time, fixed-term teacher of social studies to be a part of our diverse Humanities department.
The ability to teach ESOL would be an advantage, but is not a prerequisite for the position.
The successful candidate will:
* have a genuine passion for teaching in a low decile school and while experience of teaching in this ,or a similar environment, is desirable, it is not a prerequisite
* have a genuine commitment to raising student achievement
* have high expectations of students
* the willingness and ability to
- work collaboratively in a team
- keep current with the latest developments in IT
- adapt to or facilitate change in teaching methods
- engage in cross-curricular teaching.
