ORS teacher

Hanmer Springs School is seeking a passionate, innovative, and reflective teacher who is committed to providing high-quality learning experiences for three ORS-funded students.

Our school aims to provide a balanced curriculum and supportive, quality learning environments that allow our students to become lifelong learners. You will contribute to creating a positive school culture for students and staff and working alongside our community to improve outcomes for our ORS-funded students.

Hanmer Springs School is a co-educational full primary school. We are a small school of 96 students in the heart of Hanmer Springs, and our roll has been stable over the last several years. Well known for being an alpine resort, our town welcomes thousands of visitors, and our population of permanent residents is also projected to grow.

We consulted with our staff, students and parents/whānau to assess what is important at our school and community. Based on this, a successful candidate will need to be:

Key to this role is the interaction with our ORS students and the wider student body, parents/whānau and other members of staff.
