We are an innovative rural school (Y9–13) with a roll of approximately 485 students. PB4L and Restorative Practice are features of our school. We strive for a collaborative community where we are all learning together.
Fixed-term part-time position, approx. 0.65 FTTE
Social studies, careers/Gateway, correspondence school facilitation.
Due to staff changes over the Christmas Holidays an opportunity has arisen for a teacher who forms great relationships with students and who is flexible in their subject delivery. The position would suit an experienced teacher who would like a part-time workload. The successful applicant could be primary trained, will have superior classroom management skills, will be well organised and will be comfortable working in multiple areas of the school.
We need a teacher for Y9 Social Studies, and someone to facilitate student learning in Y12–13 Gateway and Y12–13 digital technology, where the curriculum will be delivered by Correspondence. Relief work would be available on top of these hours.
As this is not a straight-forward job description please phone the Rector, John McKinlay, on 027 201 8613 to discuss the possibilities.
The position is fixed-term while we actively recruit for a permanent full-time technology teacher.
Current school-wide initiatives include: the Learning Progression Framework; Integrated Curriculum; Academic Mentoring; Digital Pedagogy; Staff and Student Well-being; and Pathways Forward (Careers, employability skills and student leadership). The principles of Restorative Justice are well embedded in our school.

Start date: Term 1, 2022.
We would like to hear from potential applicants asap.
