Through the retirement of a long-serving deputy principal, we seek a future-focused leader to join our team. Applicants will need to have an in-depth knowledge of the New Zealand Curriculum as well as of current research into best practices for teaching, learning and assessment, teacher development and pastoral care leading to success for all learners.
The role is likely to centre around staff wellbeing, professional development and curriculum design. However, it will be developed to suit the successful applicant's strengths and interests. All members of the SLT have pastoral oversight and require a strong commitment to culturally responsive and relational teaching approaches.
Other leadership and administrative responsibilities will be allocated to achieve a fair workload across the team.
