We are an area integrated Steiner school operating classes for 3–18-year-olds.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, committed hard materials technology teacher (woodwork) commencing April, 2022. Craft skills and practical problem solving are highly valued in our school from an early age, and we are wanting a creative teacher who is interested in finding innovative ways to reflect this in the work produced in NCEA hard materials technology Level 2 & 3. Experience in design technology (DVC) or ceramics an advantage but not essential. The ideal candidate will be artistic, creative, a good communicator with positive classroom management skills and the ability to work collegially.

A strong commitment to keeping students at the centre of their work and a willingness to teach and organise programmes in accordance with the special character of the school is essential.

A background in Steiner pedagogy is desirable. Applicants must have current NZ teacher registration.

This role is covered by the COVID-19 Public Health Response (Vaccinations) Order 2021, so applicants must either be vaccinated or have a medical exemption.
