Teacher Hunter Park Kindergarten: Full-time position, part-time will be considered. 

Hunter Park Kindergarten is part of the Heretaunga Kindergarten Association.  Our Association is committed to:

  • Providing education and support programmes which respect the dignity, rights, abilities, individuality, cultural values and learning styles of children and parents.
  • Providing advice, support and professional development which will enhance the performance of teachers and management.
  • Honouring the principles and practices inherent in Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
  • Providing generous non-contact time, professional learning leave and annual leave as per the Kindergarten Teachers Collective Agreement

About Hunter Park Kindergarten

  • The kindergarten is situated in the historic Pukekaihou, overlooking the Waipukurau township and surrounded by mature, magnificent trees.
  • The child is the heart of the curriculum at Hunter Park. Teachers work closely with whānau while focusing on cultural identity, sustainability, community, and transition.
  • Our curriculum reflects Te Tiriti o Waitangi and the Kindergartens local history.
  • The team are innovative, forward thinking and relationship based Kaiako who are focused on positive, individual outcomes for all tamariki.

We are looking for an energetic passionate teacher who is open to learning and also:

  • Has a philosophy that fits with our team and Kindergarten
  • Has a current Practicing Certificate (Full or Provisional) and a Dip Tch in Early Childhood Education (minimum).
  • Has or is prepared to gain a current First Aid Certificate.
  • Is current with regard to Early Childhood Education theory and practice.
  • Has a proven working knowledge of government legislation and regulations.
