He karanga kaikā ki tētahi tangata he pukenga whānui ake. If you are fluent in te reo and passionate about all things Māori, the position of head of Māori is for you.

This role is a crucial one at Hukarere Girls’ College, which has a rich and extensive history, steeped in te ao Māori and Anglican traditions since the school opened in 1875. The Anglican values of aroha, kotahitanga, manaakitanga, tautoko, whakapono and whanaugatanga are intrinsic to the learning and teaching of our kohine.  

While previous successful experience is desirable applications from able beginning teachers are welcome. The successful applicant will be required to teach te reo Māori at the junior level and NCEA to Scholarship. 

The position has 2 permanent management units.
