Assistant manager

Sweet Pea ELC based in North Canterbury is currently looking for a dynamic and versatile assistant manager to join our awesome team.  The ideal candidate needs to be proactive, innovative and a problem-solver, someone who is not afraid to take on new challenges and challenge the status quo.  

To be successful for this role, the ideal candidate must have the following:

• Be fully registered and qualified.
• Be an excellent communicator and capable of developing strong and authentic relationships with colleagues, tamariki, parents and whanau.
• Demonstrate an in depth understanding of the curriculum, pedagogy, planning and assessment.
• A sound understanding of ECE regulations, policies and procedures.
• A strong desire to make a difference in the lives of our tamariki and be a positive influence in our community.
• Be able to lead with understanding and empathy while at the same time ensuring fairness and upholding the values of Sweet Pea ELC.
• Be able to assist on the floor on a regular basis.
