Y7-8 teacher

We are seeking an experienced Y7–8 teacher to join our team in 2022. The successful applicant will understand that every child has the right to an inclusive education that enables them to attain their highest possible standard in educational achievement. They will demonstrate an understanding of the pre-adolescent mind and the changes that children undergo at this stage of life.

The successful candidate will demonstrate recent examples of:

• Building professional relationships with tamariki, parents, whānau and colleagues while maintaining confidentiality at all times 
• A commitment to Te Tiriti O Waitangi through their reflective teaching practice
• Working as a professional: they can prioritise, plan collaboratively and meet deadlines
• A strong sense of self-efficacy; who is honest and respects diversity.

The successful applicant will ideally possess experience in one or more of the following areas:

• PE/Sports 
• Kapa haka and/or Pasifika
• History.

Our senior students are active and engaged with the community so ideally our successful applicant has a full drivers licence.
