Social studies teacher

Whakātane High School is a co-educational school with approximately 1,100 students in the beautiful Eastern Bay of Plenty. The school is proud of its history and success and is well respected within the community. 

Applications are invited for the full-time, permanent position of teacher of social studies with the ability to teach business studies. The position commences as soon as possible in term 1 2022. 

The successful applicant will need to teach social studies and contribute to and teach our design thinking pilot programme for Y9s. The ability to teacher Level 1 history is also desirable.

This is an opportunity to join a highly collaborative and caring team. The successful applicant will need to be highly relational, culturally responsive and have experience in developing improved outcomes for Māori students.
