The Dyer Street School Board is seeking an experienced school leader to become our next Principal.  The position is to commence in term 3, 2022. 

Dyer Street School (DSS) is a small primary school (Yrs 1-6) in central Lower Hutt.  DSS has a proud inclusion policy and strives to work with our ākonga and see them as whole individuals and extensions of their whānau.  DSS is known for its pivotal role within our community for supporting a diverse ākonga population who are well supported by our kaimahi. 

DSS is part of the Kahui Ako for Naenae.  DSS is the host school for the learning community as we have the community emergency hub, learning support coordinators, kindergarten and after school care adjacent or within our school grounds. 

You will need to have senior leadership experience in a primary or intermediate school. Knowledge of or a commitment to the strong PB4L philosophy within the school is important.
