We are on the cusp of exciting new play areas and whole new school build development, moving into modernisation. We are situated 25km South West of Kaitaia, and about 15km from Ahipara in the Far North.

No school house, but a 10 minute stress free drive from nearest township, Ahipara, on the doorstep of  the 90 Mile Beach. We have close access to a range of beautiful coastal areas, with plenty to discover and enjoy outside of school time.

Our little rural school of around 40 students is looking for an experienced junior class teacher of our new entrant to Y3 class. Fully registered and meeting NZ Covid Mandate guidelines. Someone who loves to support tamariki and work as a team member with our staff, board and community. Willing to train and upskill in PLD and professional development initiatives. Would suit someone with  plenty of energy, creativity, get up and go! Someone who can bring extra talent and passion to the mahi. Music, sports, art, te reo, kapahaka would be an advantage. 

Ability and experience in multilevel junior class as well as  classroom practices. Must be versed in planning and teaching cycle as well as assessment. Ability to teach and be immersed in Tikanga and te reo Māori.  We are a school that upholds our values of Tangata Whenuatanga, Whanaungatanga, Manaakitanga, Kaitiakitanga and Akotanga.
