Te Kāhui Ako o te Kauaeranga - Thames Community of Learning is advertising for a learning support coordinator for 2022 and beyond. This LSC will work as part of a team with another LSC, supportive Kāhui Ako leadership and kura from ECE to secondary.

Learning support coordinator, full-time, permanent position starting in 2022, preferably term 1, but by negotiation. The successful applicant will work within the learning support delivery model (LSDM).
To be considered for the position, applicants must be a registered teacher and have :
Demonstrated successful experience in working with students and young people with learning support needs in the classroom
A sound knowledge, commitment to and understanding of the learning support system and the learning support action plan priorities
The ability to engage at a school and Kāhui Ako leadership level
Influencing skills at a working level within a school and the wider Kāhui Ako
An understanding and knowledge of culturally responsive and relational pedagogy is essential
A current teaching practising certificate and a relevant teaching qualification.
