We are a rural primary school in Southland covering Y1–8, situated 20 minutes northeast of Invercargill with a current roll of 106 students.
We are seeking a principal who can demonstrate inspiring, collaborative leadership and great communication skills while engaging with our experienced team, children and the wider community. We are particularly interested in a leader who has the skills to develop culturally sustainable practice and embed it throughout the school.
Our thriving small community is surrounded by farms. The local curriculum is strongly influenced by our natural environment and the premise that students are the kaitiaki of the land. In recent years our school has made huge progress in many areas and it is essential this culture of improvement is continued.
The role requires 0.1 teacher release.
Position will commence at the beginning of term 2, 2022.
The board of trustees invites applications from dedicated, community-minded educators who will embrace our school values of caring (manaakitanga), respect (whakaute) and courage (kaha).
